We are a small family business and offer a range of outdoor activities in a safe and picturesque environment.
Our most popular activity at this location is simulated game shooting. We can also tailor events to your group's needs and we would be delighted to discuss your requirements with you.
Bookings of 6 or 8 guns can be made for most days but please contact us well in advance.
SIMULATED GAME, A typical day would be eight guns enjoying 2800 clays simulating duck, partridge and pheasant. Our regular visitors are mostly game shooters looking for some practice before their live game day or syndicates and small groups wishing to continue to shoot out of season. Clays are delivered from automatic traps with wobbler tables and give the feel of a live game shoot at a fraction of the cost. Four drives are on offer at £100 per gun.
Cartridges are not included in price and please note, Fibre wads only. Please allow at least one slab per person.
The relaxed atmosphere and picturesque location of this upland area adds to the enjoyment for many of our visitors.
Topography
We aim to make each drive as realistic as possible, whether it is flighting duck over ponds, traditional partridge over hedges, high partridge driven from open ground or pheasants coming forward over trees. We are very lucky that the topography at Burnhill allows us to do this and move short distances between drives.

A simple, relaxed and effective SimDay which delivered what it promised - to simulate a local game shoot and with masses to shoot at. We had 4x4 vehicles which meant we could drive across rough track to park at the cabin and easy to walk between drives. Friendly hospitality and excellent value for money. We had a great time.

2400 clays over the Guns. Cartridges available to order. Four drives over a small area, nice lodge and plenty of time for lunch (provided by the Guns). A very inexpensive and pleasant day with a friendly helpful host.
