Palé Hall Estate

Venue · Gwynedd · 39 followers

A day on the field on a breathtaking Welsh estate, varied drives and the kind of shooting Wales is renowned for. Hospitality by Michelin-starred chef Luke Selby - because at Palé Hall, exceptional shooting has always deserved exceptional hospitality.

Hospitality

The day at Palé Hall is defined as much by its hospitality as by the shooting itself.

It begins at the shoot lodge with bacon sandwiches done properly and good coffee - simple, generous, and exactly what you want before stepping out into the hills. Mid-morning, elevenses arrive on the field. Curated by Chef Partner Luke Selby, it’s rooted in the best produce the valley has to offer - classics refined with a modern edge, served properly in the landscape.

Back at the lodge, lunch is cooked over charcoal. Relaxed, generous, and built for the moment.

A drink in hand, stories flow. The best shots replayed, the day settling into memory - warm, unhurried, and instinctively social.

Clays

Palé Hall is designed to challenge and delight in equal measure.

Drives across the estate present a varied and testing programme - high pheasants, fast partridges and everything in between. The terrain does much of the work, with the natural contours of the North Welsh landscape creating presentations that are as unpredictable as they are rewarding.

Whether you are picking up a gun for the first time or have spent a lifetime in the field, there is something here that will test you.

Topography

Few shoots can claim a backdrop quite like this.

Palé Hall sits within the stunning Dee Valley, framed by the dramatic Welsh hills on every side. The natural contours of the valley create drives of genuine variety and drama - clay presentations that use the landscape exactly as nature intended, rising and curling in ways that no flat or manicured ground could replicate.

It is, quite simply, one of the most breathtaking settings in which to pick up a gun anywhere in Britain.

Gun hire & insurance

For those new to shooting or without a licence, gun hire is available along with the support of an experienced loader - ensuring every guest can fully participate in the day. Both are available at an additional cost.

Full insurance is in place throughout, so guests can focus entirely on enjoying the day.

Cartridges and addons

Cartridges are not included but can be available on request. Guests are advised to bring their own - fibre wad only.
