Hospitality
Upon your arrival at Downlands, you will be struck by the hearty hospitality extended by the family and shoot team. Guests are warmly welcomed in the great barn with a roaring open fire and served a hot or cold breakfast. After a briefing, we set off in the Downlands gun bus, to enjoy your tailored shoot experience. As the morning progresses, we take a break for drinks and elevenses in our woodland cabin, where our catering team will serve tasty refreshments, utilising produce from the Estate.
We regroup at the final drive for a champagne reception, before returning to the shoot barn for a fire-side, sit-down lunch, where our catering team will design a seasonal meal, personalised to your group’s tastes: The perfect setting to share stories and reflect on your day together
Clays
Each shoot day is tailored to our clients’ preferences. Experienced guns can look forward to fast, challenging clays, showcasing a variety of flights across four dynamic drives. For novice groups, our instructors provide guidance and support, setting slower, more relaxed targets that allow guests to build confidence and develop their skills at a comfortable pace.
Topography
Amidst a valley of serene lakes, ancient woodlands, and untouched meadows, Downlands is a sanctuary of unspoiled beauty.
Gun hire & insurance
For novices, we provide gun hire and instructors.
Cartridges and addons
We have Downlands cartridges available for purchase, both 20b and 12b.

Non-shooting guests
Non-shooting guests are welcome to join at an investment of £90+VAT. This price covers all food, drink and transport for the day.
Travel information
Located on the Surrey/Hampshire border, Downlands Estate is approximately an hours drive from Heathrow, Gatwick and Central London. The closest train stations are Liphook and Haselmere, which are around a 5-10 minute drive from the Estate.

First time at Downlands and it certainly didn't disappoint! A beautiful day in truly beautiful surroundings. We were warmly greeted by Lydia and the team and treated to a lovely breakfast in the stunning shoot barn. The day is extremely well run with every detail covered, the hospitality is second to none, we wanted for nothing all day. The clays have been expertly set to mimic live quarry in a variety of picturesque drives, some very challenging birds, but something for all abilities. Easily the best Sim day I have been on, very much looking forward to booking again.

A return visit for us to Downlands after shooting here last year. The weather gods smiled upon us, the clays flew and challenged all and Lydia and team hosted a day of super shooting, great food and wine and stunning scenery. A master-class in shooting hospitality. Wow. What a day!! I joined a simulated day at Downlands in March and was thoroughly impressed with the variety of clays on offer and the quality of hospitality provided. The team were absolutely lovely and ensured that everyone was happy and safe throughout the day. Would highly recommend for any team / corporate party looking for a simulated day.
