Set amid the stunning fells of The Forest of Bowland in Lancashire, the terrain of the Meanley Estate make for some spectacular, challenging and varied simulated game days.
Events at Meanley adopt the format of a traditional British Game day shooting.
Days are based on a standard of 8 to 12 Guns, but we are able to cater for larger or smaller groups by arrangement.
Meanley’s Simulated Game Clays are deployed from multiply launch points by a State-of-Art, computer-controlled system ensuring challenging & exciting drives – just like the real thing.
Based upon the teams experience and weather conditions guests travel to carefully chosen drives around the estate and line up at pegs as they have been doing on Lancashire’s traditional shoot days for hundreds of years.
Our action packed simulated game days are a great opportunity for a pre-season warm up or simply to enjoy a fun day with your guests and experience challenging targets.
We are able to offer various packages, with breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Drinks throughout endeavouring to make your day really enjoyable throughout.
Hospitality
Breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea are all served in one of our warm and cosy shooting lodges. We are able to tailor the hospitality to meet your individual requirements.
Clays
Prior to a day, we will be in touch to evaluate exactly what your team will require in terms of targets. We are able to offer really challenging drives for teams of experienced shots who wish to test themselves, as an alternative, if guests are reasonably new to Simulated game days, we can adopt a slower paced series of drives.

A great deal of award-winning conservation work has been undertaken over the years to benefit natural habitat for a wide array of woodland, wetland and ground nesting species.
Due to the terrain, the technology utilised and our years of experience Meanley simulated clay days are able to offer even the most jaded of shots a challenging and heart racing experience.
We have some great drives set in some of Englands’ most beautiful countryside where first timers and experienced Guns can compete shoulder to shoulder.
Gun hire & insurance
We are able to provide gun hire and insurance cover for novice guns. They will be provided with an experienced instructor to accompany and offer safe instruction through out the shoot day.
Cartridges and addons
Cartridges can be supplied at an additional cost. Catering is provided and we have different packages depending on guests requirements.
About the hosts
Meanley is a family run estate nestled in the Forest of Bowland, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We are located seven miles north of Clitheroe, a thriving market town which boasts many independent local shops, bars, restaurants and cafés and has a bustling friendly atmosphere.
Meanley is a farming/sporting estate, covering over 2000 acres of mix grazing woodland and fell. It has spectacular views running through the Bowland Forest and across to the Three Peaks.
The days are run by the family and also a friendly team of instructors and loaders to help you get the most from the day.
Non-shooting guests
Non shooting guests are welcome. There is an additional charge just to cover catering.
