PAINT MINE WOODS SHOOTING GROUND

Here at paint Mine Woods, we dedicate time and focus on creating top quality clay targets within our fantastic shooting ground, for our weekly walk on shoots, and also on our first class Simulated game days which are held throughout the vast estate. With this in mind, it is clear to see why we are known for being able to produce fantastic shooting for both the novice and the more experienced shots.

WEEKLY WALK ON SHOOTS

Our weekly walk on shoots are held every Sunday from 10am until 1pm and every Thursday from 2pm until 7:30pm. We have 5 different sporting stands ( to make a 50 bird round ) open throughout the woods each week and also a Compak sporting setup and Flush !! These walk on shoots are aimed at regular shooters but lessons can be pre-arranged for any novice wanting to " to have a go "

SIMULATED GAME DAYS

Paint Mine Woods Simulated days are truly second to none. With a friendly atmosphere, great food and fantastic shooting, these days really do have it all !! We have a variety of drives to use, in some cases, the guns are stood on pegs within woods and are shooting through breaks in the trees and in others, the guns will be stood on pegs in open landscape with plenty of opportunity to take in the incredible views. All of our Simulated drives have been designed carefully to create some fast, fun and exciting shooting. Our Simulated game days can cater for parties of 10 - 20 people each day. A typical day run on 10 guns will shoot up to 4000 clays over 4 or 5 drives during the day. Each drive is pegged for 5 guns. As 5 guns shoot the other 5 persons load for them then half way through the drive, a horn will sound and there is a change over break where the shooter and loader switch places for the other half of the drive. Simulated drives are excellent out of season practise for the keen game shooter, for people wanting to gain experience before going game shooting for the first time or for those who want to experience the full traditional days game shooting without shooting at birds. The days are run from February to the end of September, and we welcome single guns, as well as full team bookings, and all of our days include full hospitality
