Top quality simulated game days between Taunton and Exmoor. We also offer corporate days, stag and hen days and individual/group tuition. On the sim days we can cater for full teams, small groups and individuals on all dates. We offer discounts on large groups please get in touch for more details.
The entire day is set out to fully replicate the experience of our driven game days, with our drives often being the same as the ones we shoot during the season. We have a variety of drives to cater for different people from low fast grouse and quick partridges to extremely high driven Pheasants.
Teams will shoot at a minimum of 6,000 challenging targets to replicate game birds over the day, all at a fraction of the cost of a driven pheasant / partridge day.
We use a combination of powerful Promatic Huntsman automatic Game Trailers and Flurry Launchers firing clays in a random pattern of speed, height and directions much like a driven day. You will have an actioned packed day with guns having the chance to shoot at thousands of clays.
Hospitality
Excellent full hospitality with beverages and refreshments between every drive. We start the day with tea/coffee and breakfast rolls with a glass of port/sloe gin. We provide high quality elevenses with drinks and refreshments. At the end of the day there’s an excellent after shoot meal with deserts and coffee and cakes to finish the day.
Clays
Challenging and varied targets, replicating mainly Pheasant and Partridge drives. We offer drives to cater for all abilities making an enjoyable day for all
Topography
Our Quality drives are set on steep land in a picturesque setting in West Somerset near the Quantock Hills and Exmoor. We shoot on very steep land adjacent to the exceptionally well renowned Combe Sydenham shoot which creates very high and challenging simulated pheasant and partridge drives. We also shoot on rolling land near the Quantock Hills.
About the hosts
Richard Webber and family enjoy welcoming shooting parties to Pitpear Farm. They have previously run a successful game shoot on the farm for over 20 years. And in more recent years they have moved into running simulated driven game shooting.

This was my third visit to Rich's simulated days and, as always, it was outstanding. Excellent "birds", fabulous terrain, superb hospitality. Do try and get to Halsway Quarry as it will blow your mind with the quality of the birds. We will be back!!

Thank you Rich snd team what a fantastic day . This was my first sim day and both my son and I throughly enjoyed the experience. Hospitality was to notch with plentry to eat and drink. The drives were well thought out and gave a good representation of driven game. If you are looking for something to do between seasons, give it a go. We will definitely be going back
