The Sporting Clay Company is a new clay pigeon shooting company, using clay pigeons we aim to replicate a traditional driven game shoot. Just six miles from the historic racing town of Newmarket, Suffolk we have state of the art radio controlled traps, which over the course of the session will launch 100's of clays at different heights, speeds, angles and trajectories.
This Simulated Game Shoot should not be seen as a replacement for traditional game shooting but as an alternative, and as an opportunity to shoot during the closed season.
With our knowledge of presenting simulated game targets, we can tailor a shoot for both amateurs and experienced shooters alike. As with the real thing, you will receive a peg from which you can shoot at your own pace with each shooter being able to shoot between 30-60 cartridges per drive at hundreds of clays each being delivered by multiple traps that simulate the real quarry of Pheasants, Partridges, Ducks, Rabbits and even Grouse.
Hospitality
Lunch is included in the price and can be either a BBQ style or picnic depending upon the weather, guests can choose which option on booking.
Topography
Using the specially planted game woods, we present a variety of clays to simulate driven game birds. We deploy several high 'cherry pickers' to provide 'tall' pheasants for those looking for a challenge.
About the hosts
The Sporting Clay Company has been operating for 5 years and is run by Andrew, a keen game shot and qualified APSI instructor. The catering is provided by Nicky who is a professional caterer and ensures that there is plenty of home made cooking.
