Simulated game

Chillington Hall has been the home of the Giffard family for over 800 years. We offer some of the best driven partridge and pheasant shooting in Staffordshire, and have a well established and popular season. We're delighted to be able to offer our new simulated game days throughout the Spring and Summer months.

At just £230+VAT per gun for a 4000 clay day (8-14 guns, full team bookings only please) including all refreshments, this is a great day at a great price. Non-shooting guests are welcome at a reduced price, as our dining room seats up to 20 for lunch.

Chillington is well sited as a base to explore the Midlands and Welsh Marches. We are sited just 7 miles from Wolverhampton, and are well sited for access to the M6, M54, A449 and A5. We have two comfortable holiday cottages on the Estate, and the local towns and villages offer a wealth of accommodation options if you are visiting from further afield.

Hospitality

As well as a day of challenging sport, you will be treated to the hospitality that Chillington has been famous for throughout the centuries. Unlike many other shoots, you will be dining in the family's own private dining room at the Hall. On arrival enjoy a hearty breakfast bap and hot drinks, and between drives you'll be treated to a chef's selection of snacks, nibbles and drinks. Returning to our stunning Georgian mansion for lunch you will be greeted with canapes and drinks, and your two course lunch will be served with wine specially selected from Mr Giffard's own cellar, to complement your menu choice. After the final drive it's back to the Hall for hot drinks and cake. You certainly won't go home hungry, and we endeavour to make full use of local produce in all our refreshments.

Topography

The Chillington Estate covers 4000 acres on the Staffordshire-Shropshire boarder. We are blessed with a wide variety of landscape, including ancient oak woodland and an impressive 60 acre lake, and each drive has been especially designed to provide different interest and challenges.

About the hosts

The Giffard family have been the owner-custodians of the Chillington Estate since 1178, and have a long held love of country sports and pursuits. All members of the family, young and old, are happier outdoors and many of them are involved in various environmental and conservation projects both on and off the estate.
